PARENT NOTICE

Dear Parents/Carers - It has come to our attention that there is an extremely unappropriated and unpleasant  TikTok post being shared.  we would urge you to be vigilant  with what your child is  viewing on this and other similar sites.

Below is a parent’s guide to TikTok with advice around settings and generally what TikTok is for those who are not familiar with the app. It is incredibly popular with children of all ages but of course by broadcasting yourself online it does obviously leave children vulnerable to unwanted contact through the app.

At Sutton House Academy the safeguarding and welfare of our students is paramount.

We are building good relationships with multi agencies in order to support every child.

Child protection is keeping all children happy, safe and free from harm. If you have any concerns regarding the safety and/or well-being of your child whilst at school please contact the Safeguarding Lead, Jessica Smethurst on 01702 904633. We have good links with the Police and Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Team (YPDAT) to prevent against County Lines, we ensure our students are fully aware of the dangers facing them in community.

We have Counsellors specially trained in supporting against County Lines and Qualified Counsellors supporting our children with their mental health issues.

MASH+ provides support from the Local Authority, NHS and the Police – all these services are linked to give the best possible support for the children and their families.

The overall Safeguarding responsibility is held by the Headteacher, Alexis Bull.
